Hi, I'm Marina Saumell — a children's book illustrator creating cozy, light-filled scenes and lovable animal characters. Every print in my shop is designed to spark joy, comfort, and imagination.

My path here wasn't a straight line. I graduated with a degree in architecture in 2003 and spent years in commercial design — but when my first child was born, everything shifted. A growing love for children's books led me to trade blueprints for picture books, and since 2006 I've worked as a freelance children's book illustrator, bringing stories to life through warm, painterly scenes.

Today I've illustrated more than 50 children's books for readers around the world, and I'm represented by The Bright Agency. Storyprints grew out of that same work — a way to bring the characters and worlds I paint into nurseries and children's rooms, as pieces made with the same care I put into every book.

I live and work in the coastal city of Mar del Plata, Argentina, where I create every illustration by hand before it becomes a print in your home.
